A Virtuous Women's Fellowship (AVWF) is a non profit organization of women volunteers devoted to nurture and uplift the total woman, including her mind, body and soul, therefore helping women in every area of their lives. Our goal is to improve the lives of women and undeserved families through the development, provision and advocacy of services.

AVWF provides energizing, empowering and inspirational services that include life skills training, supplemental education, health awareness, mental health services, case management / referral services and community outreach.

Our offered services assist in strengthening women, their families and their respective neighborhoods by developing networks, while expanding families access to educational and developmental opportunities.

AVWF continues to empower women by giving them access and the tools to better their lives and succeed. We believe this is important because...

Meet The Team

Ruth Simpson

Founder/CEO

Ruth started AVWF in 2010 after finally embarking on her vision to improve the lives

of women. She wanted to provide an outlet to nurture and uplift the total woman, including her mind, body and soul in efforts to help women rise to be capable women in every area of their lives.

Irene Fryer Alton

Director

As the Director, Irene diligently works to move the vision of AVWF forward to help women both local and abroad. Her experience in missions has allowed her

to understand the vast needs of women all over the globe. Her over 30 years working in the health department and city government has opened up her eyes to the lack of programs but great opportunities to build relevant programs to support women and their families.

Naomi Storey

Finance Manager

Naomi is a diligent servant of the community and most importantly when it comes to encouraging other woman. Her humanistic compassion proves she follows her own mantra of loving others as much as she loves herself.
